Kraken Receives Funds From Mt. Gox Trustee for Creditors Repayments

The Mt. Gox Rehabilitation Trustee has transferred a pair of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash to the crypto exchange Kraken.

In an email to clients, Kraken confirmed that they have received the funds and expect to distribute them within 7-14 days according to the Trustee’s instructions.

According to blockchain analytics platform Arkham, the 48,641 BTC transferred by Mt. Gox earlier today was most likely transferred to Kraken’s “3JQie” address.

In a separate notice, Rehabilitation Trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi stated that over 13,000 creditors have received repayments in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash as of July 16, 2024.
