TON Blockchain Suffers a New Outage

The TON blockchain has once again experienced an interruption in block production, which comes shortly after the network was restored following over six hours of downtime.

On Wednesday, TON announced that the issue causing the network overload had been resolved and the platform was back online.

However, transactions were unable to be processed and TON provided an update on the situation, stating that block production had been disrupted due to heavy traffic caused by the DOGS token minting.

The TON team is currently working on a solution for this issue, and user assets are not considered to be at risk. This follows another recent incident where the network faced congestion due to a DOGS airdrop, causing major exchanges like Binance and Bybit to delay distribution of the tokens.
