Wintermute Launches US Election Prediction Tokens

Wintermute, a cryptocurrency trader and liquidity provider, is launching a prediction market for the US presidential election called OutcomeMarket.

With the support of Chaos Labs’ Edge Proofs Oracle, Wintermute plans to make its HARRIS and TRUMP tokens available on various blockchains starting in late September.

The prediction market will be accessible on Ethereum, Base, and Arbitrum thanks to a permissionless smart contract created by Wintermute.

This means users on these chains won’t need to bridge their assets to participate. The HARRIS and TRUMP tokens will be tradeable on both centralized and decentralized exchanges, as well as usable in DeFi applications.

The first crypto exchanges to list these tokens will be Bebop, WOO, and Backpack. According to Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy, there has been a lot of interest from trading venues, but no one has developed a permissionless prediction market without imposing fees.
