Arkham to Launch a Derivatives Exchange

According to a report from Bloomberg, blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence is planning to launch a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange as early as next month.

The exchange is set to target retail traders, and will directly compete with well-known platforms like Binance, as stated by an insider familiar with the matter. It is said that Arkham is currently in the process of securing a license in the Dominican Republic in order to operate the exchange.

This move comes as the crypto derivatives market experiences explosive growth, driven in part by retail investor trading activity.

In September, trading volume in the crypto derivatives market reached over $3 trillion, compared to just $1.5 trillion the previous year, as reported by CCData.

This surge in popularity can be attributed to the increasing availability of crypto derivatives products, including those offered by established exchanges such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
