Kamala Harris Will Support Crypto Regulatory Framework to Support Black Men

According to Vice President Kamala Harris, she intends to support a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency that prioritizes protecting Black men who invest and own crypto, as outlined in her newly released proposal to promote wealth building for this demographic.

Titled the “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men,” the proposal was announced on Monday, less than a month before the presidential election.

The plan states that over 20% of Black Americans have owned or currently own cryptocurrency.

Harris’s campaign team stated that she recognizes the potential of new technologies to increase access to banking and financial services, and she plans to ensure that Black men and other participants in the crypto market are safeguarded by regulatory measures.

Additionally, the Democratic presidential candidate pledged to offer one million fully forgivable loans of up to $20,000 each to Black entrepreneurs, launch a health program focused on Black men, and legalize recreational marijuana.
