Hackers Steal $129M in Crypto in October

The month of October saw various security incidents in the cryptocurrency world, such as exit scams, flash loan attacks, and exploits, resulting in a total of $129.6 million in losses.

As reported by CertiK, a blockchain security firm, exit scams accounted for $1.2 million in losses, while flash loan attacks caused $1.5 million in losses.

However, the biggest cause of loss was through exploits, with a total of $127 million in cryptocurrency taken.

One of the most notable incidents in October was the Radiant Capital, a lending protocol that suffered a loss of over $50 million. Additionally, a phishing attack on a whale resulted in a loss of $36 million, while a hack of the crypto exchange M2 resulted in a loss of $13 million.
