First British Pension Fund Invests in BTC

Cartwright, a specialist in British pensions, is advising institutional investors to invest some of their assets into Bitcoin.

The company has already successfully advised the first British pension fund to make an allocation into the token.

The unnamed pension fund invested 3% of its £50 million ($65 million) into bitcoin last month, after consulting with the scheme’s trustees on various factors such as ESG, investment potential and security.

According to Glenn Cameron, head of digital assets at Cartwright, this is a significant investment because the pension fund is directly investing in the token itself and not through a proxy like an ETF.
