Kraken Obtains a MiFID License

Kraken has recently announced that it has obtained a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) license in the EU.

According to the company’s blog post, this license was obtained through the acquisition of a Cypriot investment firm, which has been approved by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

This move is a significant milestone in Kraken’s expansion strategy, as it will allow the company to offer fully regulated crypto derivatives to advanced traders in select EU markets.

The acquisition of the license also demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing secure and compliant trading services, with new product launches expected after the final requirements are met.
