SEC Acknowledges Grayscale’s Filings for Solana and Litecoin ETFs
The SEC has officially recognized the 19b-4 filings submitted by the NYSE to list and trade the Grayscale Solana and Litecoin ETFs.
These filings were opened for public feedback on February 6 and comments can be submitted within 21 days after publication in the Federal Register. This marks the first time the SEC has recognized Solana ETFs, which is a significant development.
According to Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart, this decision is notable as it indicates a potential shift in the SEC’s stance towards Solana ETFs.
Similarly, Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett believes this move is noteworthy, as the same SEC had recently asked the CBOE to withdraw issuers’ Solana filings while Gary Gensler was still leading the agency.
