Mt. Gox Moves $900M in Bitcoin
Mt. Gox has recently transferred a considerable amount of Bitcoin, totaling 11,834 BTC (approximately $910 million). This move involved sending 11,502 BTC (around $885 million) to a new wallet and 332 BTC (worth $25.5 million) to a “warm” wallet, which is typically used for transactions or active management of funds.
On Monday, a $900 million Bitcoin transfer originated from the Mt. Gox wallet known as “1Mo1n,” which had previously received $1.07 billion in Bitcoin from another exchange last week.
However, when these funds were transferred last week, Arkham Intelligence did not initially identify the “1Mo1n” address as associated with Mt. Gox.
The movement of Mt. Gox’s Bitcoin is being closely monitored as it is part of the continuing process of repaying creditors who lost funds during the exchange’s notorious hack and bankruptcy.
