Drunk Robots Partners With YGG SEA and Boosts the Arena Prize to 5M METAL
The post-apocalyptic megapolis of Los Machines has become a focal point of NFT gaming activity. Drunk Robots, a raucously funny game backed by Animoca Brands and Merit Circle, has not only launched several game modes after the sold-out IDO but also signed partnerships with several leading P2E leagues and boosted the quarterly Arena prize to 5mln METAL.
It’s very rare for a Play2Earn game to have more than 100,000 fans on social media before the IDO but Drunk Robots managed to pull it off. Moreover, Drunk Robots attracted the attention of many crypto venture firms. For instance, Drunk Robots is backed by Animoca Brands, a world-famous portfolio company that owns the rights to The Sandbox and many other gaming brands.
Another prominent partner is Merit Circle, one of the world’s biggest GameFi DAOs. We should also mention Shima Capital, Moonrock Capital, DAO Ventures, Gate.io, and 10+ others.
One more thing that makes Drunk Robots special is that it already had several live gaming modes ahead of the IDO – while most P2E games have little more than a teaser.
Users can already enjoy:
- PvP Arena (user vs. user battles);
- Drunk Races (robots chasing each other in NFT carts);
- Knockout minigame (a classic shootout that doesn’t require a robot NFT);
- Scavenging (collecting tokens).
In April Drunk Robots held an initial token sale on three popular gaming launchpads: TrustPad, GameFi, and Liqudifty.
25,000,000 $METAL worth $250,000 were gone in less than an hour on each platform. After the sale, $METAL was listed on PancakeSwap and Gate.io, reaching $0.44 (+330% to the IDO price).
Win a Share of 5 million METAL in the Arena
Players pitch their robots against each other and win $METAL and various precious assets. If a player doesn’t like the opponent assigned to them, it’s possible to re-roll the adversary for a certain sum in $METAL. Apart from one-on-one fights, Drunk Robots features gangs with colorful names like Yakuza Warriors.
However, the tokens won in battle aren’t the main reason to fight in the Arena. The game features a PvP leaderboard, with the results drawn up at the end of each season. The players who rank highest will share the leaderboard prize fund.
The developers of Drunk Robots have just announced that the seasonal prize is about to increase to 5,000,000 $METAL, or over $50k. This is a strong incentive to choose Drunk Robots over other P2E games on BSC, which often pay very meager rewards.
At the same time, to keep engagement high, the team has introduced another change to the game economics: players will need to take part in 5 or more battles each day to maintain the fastest $METAL farming speed.
