Coinbase Files Application to Register in Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands

American cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced it plans to expand its activities in Europe, and to do so, the company has filed applications to register in Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands.

Coinbase Vice President for International Development and Business Development Nana Murugesan has said the exchange plans to expand its services at an international level.

According to the company, the decision has been made to find new customers in Europe, where the cryptocurrency exchange already has a presence in countries such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and Switzerland.

If registration is approved, Coinbase will be represented in eight countries in Europe.

The crypto exchange has recently hired its first employee in Switzerland. The company’s goal is to “make the international segment the most significant part of the business.”
