Average Number of Daily Transactions on Ethereum Network Hits 1.64 Million

According to analysts at IntoTheBlock, activity on the Ethereum blockchain rose to a record level on Wednesday. Then, the average daily number of transactions on the blockchain reached 1.64 million. In addition, the researchers have said that more than 1.1 million addresses turned out to be active on July 27.

The team of experts of Santiment have also come to a similar conclusion. According to them, if in January 2018 there were 718,000 active ETH addresses in the network, then in the middle of this week this figure exceeded 1.06 million.

The company’s experts believe that the increase in user activity is due to the preparations for the update of the network, which will happen in September. The first preparatory work is scheduled to be completed between 6 and 12 August.

Since the beginning of July, the value of ETH has increased by more than 50%.
