Cream Finance Attacker Converts $1.75M into Bitcoin
According to MistTrack, the bad actor who recently attacked the DeFi protocol Cream Finance has moved $1.75 million of the stolen funds.
The hacker has allegedly exchanged 1,000 ETH for 80 renBTC, after which he has converted them into BTC.
This address transferred more than 300 renBTC of stolen assets using the Ren Gateway bridge in July.
In total, the wallet owner has moved 607 BTC belonging to Cream Finance users, who lost their assets as a result of the hacker attack.
The DeFi protocol was hacked three times last year. In February, an unknown attacker exploited a vulnerability in Iron Bank and stole about $37.5 million.
