Bitcoin Core Developer Suffers 200 BTC Hack

Luke Dash Jr., a Bitcoin Core developer, has said that he has fallen victim to a hacker attack.

According to him, his PGP key has been compromised and a large amount of Bitcoin has been lost. Although he has not said how many Bitcoins he has lost, he has shared the wallet address allegedly linked to the hack. At the moment, it has 216.9 BTC.

On-chain data shows that four transactions were completed on December 31.

According to the developer, he “has no idea” how attackers got access to his key. He has explained that he only noticed the hack after receiving emails from Coinbase and Kraken about login attempts.
