Yuga Labs Wins Lawsuit Against Creators of Fake BAYC Tokens

A court has upheld claims by Yuga Labs, the company behind the NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), for trademark infringement by Thomas Lehman.

Claims regulation terms include Lehman’s ban on any BAYC marks, the destruction of all company materials in his possession, and the burning of NFT RR/BAYC he owns.

Lehman has said:

“I am pleased to have resolved the trademark case with Yuga Labs. I did not intend to harm the brand and reject all disparaging statements about Yuga Labs and its founders, and also acknowledge their great positive contribution to the NFT segment.”
