FTX Files Lawsuit Against Bahamas Division Liquidators
FTX Group, affiliated with FTX.US, Alameda Research, and West Realm Shires, a holding company founded by former FTX Exchange CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, has filed a lawsuit against the liquidators of Bahamas-registered FTX Digital Markets (FDM).
The defendants in the document are FDM and its temporary liquidators, Kevin Cambridge and Peter Greaves of the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as partner of the law firm Lennox Parton Brian Simms.
FTX Group claims that FDM is attempting to “inherit a corporate shell” in order to gain legal rights to FTX.com’s assets, and that this “unsubstantiated” property claim could be harmful to the exchange’s clients and creditors.
The filing is seeking to resolve the dispute in the US, rather than the Bahamas.
