MetaMask Adds Option to Buy Crypto for Fiat

The MetaMask non-custodial wallet team has now made it easier for users to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat money by introducing the Buy Crypto feature in their Portfolio Dapp.

This service is available in 189 countries and supports over 90 tokens across eight networks (Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Fantom, and Celo).

Payment methods include debit and credit cards, PayPal, bank transfer, or ACH, though KYC regulations may restrict order amounts.

This functionality is made possible through a range of partnerships with providers such as PayPal, Moonpay, Sardine, Banxa, Onramp.Money, Mercuryo, and Transac.

The developers are planning to expand the number of payment methods and providers in the future.
