Attacker Hacks KuCoin’s Twitter Account

KuCoin experienced a data breach (its Twitter account was hacked) resulting in the loss of $22,628 to its users on April 24.

According to the platform, 22 transactions associated with fraudulent activity were identified and the company is carrying out an investigation to prevent further damage.

Furthermore, they have promised to reimburse affected users and to increase the security of their social media accounts.

This comes just after the New York State Attorney’s Office filed a lawsuit against KuCoin, accusing the exchange of violating securities laws.

Earlier in March, the Twitter account of Circle Strategy Director Dante Disparte was hacked for a similar scam.
