Near and Polygon to Develop a ZK Solution
The Near Foundation and Polygon Labs have joined forces to create a zero-knowledge proof-based solution for WASM networks.
This partnership aims to launch the zkWASM prover in 2024 as a leading solution in the market. By utilizing a technology verification mechanism, the protocols will offer efficient and secure transactions, unlocking the full potential of zero knowledge.
The team also plans to add a layer of compatibility to provide WASM networks with access to liquidity on Ethereum.
According to co-founder of Polygon Sandeep Nailwal, zkWASM will offer developers a variety of verification tools, giving them more control and customization options when utilizing the CDK.
Additionally, NEAR validators will have the ability to generate a single zero-knowledge proof instead of verifying an entire shard, improving scalability and decentralization.
In June, Near Foundation announced a partnership with Alibaba Cloud, aiming to boost the growth of Web3 initiatives in Asia and the Middle East.
