Raiffeisenlandesbank Will Launch Bitcoin Trading Services Next Year

The Austrian arm of European financial institution Raiffeisen Bank is preparing to introduce the option for its customers to trade cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin in the coming months.

This decision was first announced in April 2023 and is now being put into action by Raiffeisen Bank’s Austrian subsidiary, Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien (RLB NÖ-Wien), in collaboration with local crypto firm Bitpanda.

According to a spokesperson for the bank, RLB NÖ-Wien plans to launch its crypto trading services in Vienna during the first quarter of 2024.

The representative explained that the decision was made in response to growing demand among customers for easy, intuitive digital investment platforms.

By partnering with Bitpanda, all cryptocurrencies offered by the bank’s partner will be available to RLB NÖ-Wien users.
