Former Revolut Executive Participates in Launch of Hybrid Crypto Exchange
X10, a hybrid crypto exchange powered by the StarkEx Layer 2 engine, has officially launched on the testnet with a funding of $6.5 million.
The investors in the platform include Tioga Capital, Semantic Ventures, Cherry Ventures, StarkWare, and Cyber Fund, as well as angel investors like executives from Revolut and co-founder of Lido, Konstantin Lomashuk.
The team behind X10 aims to combine the best aspects of centralized and decentralized exchanges, with a focus on improving speed, execution, portfolio management, and liquidity.
They also claim to address issues of transparency and security that have been prevalent in centralized exchanges, citing the recent collapse of FTX as an example.
The company is led by former Revolut employees, with their former Head of Crypto Ops Ruslan Fakhrutdinov as the CEO. Fakhrutdinov stated that the FTX situation has prompted the need to prioritize trust and efficiency in crypto trading through on-chain settlement and self-custody.
