Binance Stops Accepting Visa and MasterCard Cards Issued in Russia

Binance has stopped accepting cards issued by Russian banks starting today.

The Binance administration announced earlier this month it was introducing restrictions for some Russian users, a decision that was made in compliance with the Western sanctions policy against Russia for its military actions in Ukraine.

At the same time, the exchange ruled out a complete exit from the Russian market, while other platforms completely suspended servicing Russian users.

According to Binance’s press service, the operations with Visa and MasterCard cards will be suspended from midnight on March 9, MSK time.

The crypto exchange became a member of the Association of Banks of Russia last month.
