GameStop Introduces Beta Version of its NFT Marketplace
US retailer of game consoles and computer games GameStop has recently launched the beta version of its NFT trading platform based on the Ethereum layer-two solution Loopring.
According to the press release, the protocol uses ZK-Rollups technology to scale and provide transaction security at the Ethereum level.
The company claims that minting NFTs on Loopring will cost less than $1 per unit, whereas the costs can be up to 100 times higher on the Ethereum network.
At the moment, the marketplace is live in beta version and its final launch is expected to take place soon.
The price of the Loopring token (LRC) has jumped to $1.23 after the news was known, an increase of almost 45% from levels around $0.85.
