Meta to Issue its Own Token

Mark Zuckerberg’s team has decided to reform the company. Now Meta is actively involved in the NFT industry and the metaverse as the most promising areas.

The Financial Times has recently reported citing its sources that Meta is considering options for creating a token. The publication has found the company is currently looking for investors willing to finance this ambitious project.

If everything goes as expected, then the digital currency may appear in a test format as early as mid-May 2022. Meta employees call the future token Zuck Bucks. At the same time, the coin is unlikely to be a stablecoin, the FT has noted.

The company developers will introduce an NFT token that will be used in different applications deployed within the metaverse.
