Kazakhstan Introduces Mandatory Registration for Crypto Miners
The President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Yomart Tokaev, demanded at the end of 2021 that the government solve the problem of underground mining. He was outraged that the country’s budget still does not receive taxes from miners.
The Ministry of Digital Development has published this week an order that will become the basis for the legislation governing the work of miners in Kazakhstan.
According to the law, each company must notify regulators of its activities 30 days before the start of mining. The state is creating a special database that will contain information about all companies and individual entrepreneurs involved in crypto mining.
