Bitstamp Announces a New CEO
Bitstamp has confirmed the resignation of Julian Sawyer as CEO. According to the company’s website, his place will be taken by Jean-Baptiste Graftieaux.
In October 2021, Sawyer replaced Neich Kodrich as CEO of the exchange. According to a press release, after 18 months on the job, he “decided to pursue other opportunities.”
From November 2014 to February 2016, Graftier served as Director of Compliance for Bitstamp, according to his LinkedIn profile. In 2021, after a five-year period at eBay, he returned as CEO of the exchange for the European region. The statement reads:
“We are delighted to welcome a CEO with such an impressive track record and are very much looking forward to the contributions and perspectives he will bring to the company in his new role.”
Bitstamp is currently the 20th largest cryptocurrency exchange.
