Fake LUNA 2.0 Tokens Were Distributed Yesterday by Scammers

Blockchain security and data analytics company PeckShield has noted some scammers are sending Wrapped LUNA 2.0 tokens to top Ethereum addresses.

According to them, they mimic the re-release of LUNA, which will take place today.

PeckShield’s warning states that Vitalik Buterin, Andreesen Horowitz, Three Arrows Capital and Justin Sun have become several recipients of the new tokens.

The tokens were sent to the Terra Deployer wallet from an anonymous address yesterday, then they went to well-known members of the crypto community to create the illusion of an official distribution of Terra.

The actual Terra plan includes a fork of the Terra blockchain and the issuance of a new LUNA token. The old LUNA, whose price fell to zero after UST lost its peg to the dollar earlier this month, will be renamed LUNC.
