Cross-chain Project Hop Protocol Airdrops Governance Tokens
The developers of cross-chain bridge Hop Protocol airdropped on the night of June 10 HOP governance tokens to bring the project under control of the decentralized organization Hop DAO.
Hop Protocol is a cross-chain bridge designed to transfer ETH between the main crypto network and second-tier solutions, including Optimism, Arbitrum, and Polygon.
The project team announced last month the launch and airdrop of the governance token.
Users must select delegates before they can claim tokens. The developers have noted that “powers can be delegated to oneself.”
According to Dune Analytics, about 145,329 addresses received the right to receive HOP, of which about 8% actually claimed tokens. Smart contracts have distributed more than 21 million HOP tokens.
