Jack Dorsey’s Company TBD Introduces Concept Web5 Platform

TBD, a company owned by Jack Dorsey, has introduced the concept of a decentralized open source platform Web5.

According to the project developers, the platform will give users full control over their personal data and digital identities.

Dorsey has said:

“This is likely to be our most important contribution to the internet. I am proud of the team.”

According to TBD, users’ identification and personal data do not currently belong to them, as they have “become the property of third parties.”

The Web5 vision introduced by the team is set to change that:

“Web5 brings decentralized identity and data to your applications. This allows developers to focus on creating amazing user experiences while reclaiming ownership of data and identity to individuals.”
