Hacker Targets NFT Marketplace Quixotic
Quixotic, an NFT marketplace based on Optimism, has fallen victim to a hacker attack following the project’s latest update.
The hacker reportedly attacked the Offer function. He/she deployed a malicious contract and stole about $100,000 in several ERC-20 tokens.
The Quixotic team has reported that it has fixed the vulnerability and has suspended all operations on the platform to avoid further losses.
According to the statement, NFTs were not affected by the attack. All stolen funds will be automatically compensated to users, which means they will not have to take any action.
Crypto projects have lost more than $1.22 billion in Q1 2022.
