Ripple Co-Founder Sells XRP Holdings
Ripple co-founder and former CTO Jed McCaleb liquidated 1.1 million XRP yesterday, allegedly ending the sale of the 9 billion tokens he owns.
At the moment, the crypto community-monitored tacostand wallet has a balance of 46.7 XRP.
The authors of the JedTacostand Twitter channel have said:
“40 XRP left, now you can have more coins than Jed.”
McCaleb has said that 9 billion XRP represented his stake in Ripple. He started selling his XRP holdings in 2014 in installments under an agreement with the company. The co-founder of the company donated a certain number of tokens to charitable organizations.
CTC News published on July 15 an alleged interview with McCaleb, according to which he decided to keep the last 5 million XRP “just in case.”
