Tesla Sells Almost All the Bitcoins it Owned

US electric car maker Tesla has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2022.

According to the document, the company made $936 million by selling most of the cryptocurrency it owned.

As a result, by the end of the second quarter, the Elon Musk company had sold approximately 75% of its Bitcoins.

The Tesla CEO announced in May that his company was stopping accepting BTC as a means of payment due to the environmental concerns associated to its mining. However, the added that the company may resume BTC payments should the activity become greener.

At the same time, Musk periodically praises Dogecoin on social networks, provoking hype and a rise in its value. According to the CEO of Tesla, DOGE is convenient for small transactions.
