US Treasury Thinks Kraken Has Violated Iran Sanctions

The US authorities have launched an investigation into the activities of crypto exchange Kraken as the Ministry of Finance has information that this trading platform has violated the sanctions regime in force against Iran.

According to The New York Times, the Ministry of Finance could impose a fine on the trading platform if it is confirmed that it serves Iranian users despite the sanctions.

The Kraken administration has confirmed that it constantly interacts with the US authorities to comply with the law.

Binance is also suspected of violating the sanctions regime in force against this country.
