Cipher Mining Launches a Green Mining Center

Cryptocurrency miner Cipher Mining has just deployed Bitcoin miners at a new 40 MW data center in Texas that is powered by a wind farm.

The hashrate of the devices installed at the Alborz facility is 1.3 EH/s, which, according to the company’s presentation, will allow the mining of up to 5.7 BTC per day.

Cipher is awaiting the arrival of Bitcoin miners for three more data centers in Texas: Bear and Chief with a combined capacity of 20 MW, as well as a 205 MW facility in Odessa.

The company plans to achieve a hashrate of 6.9 EH/s by the beginning of next year with a fleet with an average mining power of 32.1 J/TH.

Cipher facilities are provided with electricity at a rate of approximately $0.0273 per kWh.
