Crypto Exchange Binance Will Suspend ETH Withdrawals During The Merge Update

Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals in Ethereum and ERC-20-based tokens during the blockchain migration from PoW to PoS.

According to the asset developers, the Beacon Chain update will take place on September 6 and on September 15, the mainnet upgrade will be activated.

Binance has noted since a new token could be released during the hard fork, the exchange has decided to “take steps to reduce the risks of volatility and ensure the safety of user funds.”

The platform will suspend deposits and withdrawals of Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens.
