Bitcoin Lost More Than 13% of its Value in August

The price of Bitcoin, the largest crypto in the market by capitalization, and Ether, the second one, lost about 13% and 20% of their value last month, respectively.

At the moment, they are trading at about $20,000 and $1,500, respectively.

August turned out to be a bad month for most digital currencies, however, some coins were able to demonstrate good performance during the same time.

The Chiliz token was the most explosive, with its value skyrocketing by 75% in August. According to Santiment, this digital currency was supported by the largest addresses.

The whales pumped up Chiliz in the first half of August, and it was able to hold the lion’s share of the gains until early September.

The current capitalization of the whole crypto market amounts to $985B.
