The United States Gets Ready to Develop the Digital Dollar

The Digital Dollar Project, whose ultimate objective is to launch a digital version of the dollar, will prepare options for creating a token and its implementation in the financial infrastructure of the state.

The project will be implemented in a special economic zone or sandbox.

The work of the organization in this direction should begin in October this year. Crypto companies Ripple, Digital Asset, EMTECH and Knox Networks will reportedly take part in the project.

The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a financial services provider, also became a participant in the project to launch the CBDC back in April.

The Digital Dollar Project announced last year five pilot projects to develop and test a token pegged to the US dollar.
