Payment Application Operator Strike Attracts $80M

Lightning Network-based payment application operator Strike has just closed an $80 million Series B funding round.

According to the press release, Ten31 venture company has acted as the lead investor. Other investors participating in the fundraising include Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Wyoming.

The Strike team will use the funds to expand partnerships, scale the business and support efforts to improve payments.

The operator plans to release a new product line and develop a commercial API, which is already integrated by platforms such as Blackhawk, NCR and Shopify.
