Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Reaches a New Record
After the latest adjustment to the difficulty of Bitcoin mining that took place yesterday, the figure is up 13.55%, the biggest increase in difficulty since May 2021.
According to BTC.com, the previous adjustment took place on September 14, when the difficulty jumped to 32.05 T. On October 10, it increased to 35.61 T.
In parallel, there is a record high activity of miners. Bitcoin hashrate has set a new record, exceeding 257 Eh/s.
Mining difficulty is adjusted about every two weeks after every 2,016 block mined. It allows to maintain a relatively stable block time of about 10 minutes.
