Kraken Temporarily Bans Russian Users

Cryptocurrency exchange Cryptopay last week announced the termination of services for Russian users in order to comply with the sanctions imposed on Russia by Western countries.

The day before, another exchange, Kraken, sent out a similar notice to Russian traders about blocking their accounts.

According to the press service of the trading platform:

“Due to new European sanctions laws, we need to take steps to limit what you can do with your Kraken account. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.”

As a result, Kraken has joined the list of cryptocurrency services that have stopped offering their services to Russian users.
