
Five Countries Account for Over 30% of BTC Infrastructure: Bitnodes
According to Bitnodes, the United States, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Canada account for the largest number of nodes that form the Bitcoin infrastructure.
More than 30% of nodes are located in these states. For example, 13.2% of the total number of BTC nodes (1,184) are located in the USA. In Germany, France, the Netherlands and Canada, there are 1,362, 434, 374 and 297 nodes respectively.
What is a Bitcoin node? It is a piece of hardware that users use to transact with cryptocurrencies and store data. Blocks and transactions are verified through each BTC node before they are included in the network.
