More Than 25% of Australians Have Already Purchased BTC
According to a study conducted by Independent Reserve, 90.8% of the country’s population is aware of the existence of Bitcoin. More than 25% of Australians have already purchased a digital currency.
Compared to 2021, the share of hodlers in Australia has decreased from 29% to 25%, but, on the contrary, awareness of digital currencies has increased.
The number of crypto holders has decreased due to the dominance of bearish sentiment in the market. If last year the capitalization of virtual currencies reached $3 trillion, then by the end of 2022 it fell below $860 billion.
The survey conducted by the Independent Reserve has also showed that more than 40% of respondents aged 25 to 34 have purchased virtual currencies. Of the Australians over 65 surveyed, less than 10% became crypto investors.
