Uniswap Intends to Verify the Identity of its Users

Cinneamhain Ventures partner Adam Cochran has hinted that decentralized exchange Uniswap plans to introduce a KYC system in the next version of the protocol.

According to him, the active promotion by the team of the EIP-1153 update platform for Ethereum has made him reached this conclusion.

The proposal was first published in June 2018 and is focused on the optimization of gas consumption through the introduction of new functions for the temporary storage of transaction data.

According to Cochran, the proposed update opens up a “cheap vector” for a DoS attack and benefits Uniswap, which uses its own code operations to efficiently use gas. He says the decision is insufficiently tested and “unfair” to all Ethereum users.
