Wallet MetaMask Adds Crypto Purchases Through PayPal

MetaMask plans to add the ability to buy cryptocurrency through PayPal.

Initially, the option will be available to a limited number of US users. According to the statement, they will be able to buy Ethereum for fiat and transfer to the wallet through PayPal.

The payment system opened up the ability to withdraw BTC, ETH, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin to third-party apps in June. ConsenSys said MetaMask is the first to use the feature.

According to MetaMask product manager:

“The integration with PayPal will allow our US users to not only buy cryptocurrency organically through the wallet, but also to easily explore the Web3 ecosystem.”
