Sam Bankman-Fried Refuses to Plead Guilty: Bloomberg
Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, has pleaded not guilty to eight counts, Bloomberg has reported.
US District Judge Lewis Kaplan has now set the date for the trial to be October 2.
The prosecution has offered an additional bail condition for the former FTX head in the form of a ban on access and transfer of assets of FTX and Alameda Research.
According to Bloomberg, the withdrawal of the guilty plea will allow Bankman-Fried to get more information about the evidence against him and plan the next step.
