Core Scientific Mined Almost 2,800 Bitcoins in 2 Months
Mining firm Core Scientific mined 1,356 BTC and 1,435 BTC in November and December 2022, respectively.
According to the company, it has experienced a 5.8% growth despite equipment shutdowns due to bad weather in the US. Recall a storm that hit the United States forced many local miners to turn off their equipment to balance the network or for security reasons.
As of the end of the year, the Core Scientific fleet amounted to around 153,000 ASIC miners.
Taking into account the equipment placed in data centers on a hosting basis, the company managed 234,000 devices with a hashrate of 23.7 EH/s.
ASIC miners owned by customers mined 795 BTC in November and 931 BTC in December.
According to the company:
“In November and December, the company stopped the work of data centers several times. The consumption reductions amounted to 5,828 MWh and 17,179 MWh, respectively.”
