Court Orders Sam Bankman-Fried to Not Contact FTX and Alameda Employees
Lewis Kaplan, judge of the Southern District of New York, has granted the request of the US Department of Justice that prohibits Sam Bankman-Fried from contacting former or current employees of FTX or Alameda Research.
According to the ruling, he can’t use apps with encryption functionality either, including Signal.
Prosecutors said that Bankman-Fried has tried to contact Ryan Miller, the exchange’s current US general counsel.
The lawyers for the former CEO of the exchange have opposed the US Justice Department’s petition, suggesting current and former employees of the exchange and Alameda be excluded from his circle of contacts.
