Tim Draper: Sri Lanka Should Allow BTC Payments

Tim Draper believes that the price of BTC will rise in the coming months. In addition, he has predicted that the value of the asset will reach $250K in the medium term.

He has recently proposed to the authorities of Sri Lanka to allow payment for goods and services using Bitcoin. According to him, the legalization of crypto payments and the entire blockchain infrastructure will create conditions for attracting investments in the state economy.

Tim Draper has recalled that El Salvador was the first in the world to recognize BTC as a payment instrument in September 2021.

He has explained:

“It is better to use a cryptocurrency that will grow over time than a national fiat currency that is guaranteed to lose value next year.”
