Coinbase CEO Calls on US to Develop Clear Set of Rules for Crypto
Brian Armstrong, CEO of crypto exchange Coinbase, has recently expressed his opinion on the state of digital assets in the United States during an interview with BloombergTV.
He has emphasized that the US is lagging behind the rest of the world in terms of legislation for cryptocurrencies, and that Coinbase is ready to defend its interests in court if necessary.
Armstrong has also mentioned that there are many traditional financial services that have adopted the technology, such as JPMorgan, Visa, Mastercard and Franklin Templeton, and that his main focus for this year is the political environment.
He has noted that other major financial centres, such as Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and the EU, have already adopted comprehensive cryptocurrency legislation, and that the US needs to follow suit in order to develop the industry.
